where do I start?

Want to design your own climbing frame but not sure where to start? We have written some notes to get you started...

1. Download the Software

Go to the Action 3D Design Your Own page and click on the link in the blue area to download it. Please be aware that this does not work on apple computers.

The file '03DSetup.exe' should download to your computer, you then need to 'Run' or open this file. If you cannot see it, go to the 'Downloads' folder on your computer and run it from there. The software will then install.

Please Note:

You may need to close your internet browser and reopen it for the install to take effect.

2. Start With A Tower

The easiest way to start is with a tower - you can attach things to it like slides and swing arms and it gives you a good basis for creating a great climbing frame.

Please Note:

Each 3D model in the software is a very detailed and intricate model. This means that sometimes they can take a little while to show up in the window once you have dragged them in. Just be patient - we know you want to design your frame quickly, but good things come to those who wait!!

3. What Do Your Children Like?

Think about what your children like doing - are they swingers, climbers or do they love playing imaginatively?

When you hover over each climbing frame element, it tells you which climbing frames they are suitable for. So, if you start with a York Tower, we would suggest not trying to attach some Gate Lodge Balustrades to it! We are sure you will get the hang of it! Most accessories will be suitable for all climbing frames.

4. Do Not Worry!

The most important thing is not to worry about your creation - each frame is approved by our climbing frame experts before you can purchase it, so don't worry if you aren't sure if something works or not. Our specialist team are here to discuss it with you and will advise you if they know something won't work properly. After all, we want your children to get the most fun out of their frame that they possibly can!

5. Watch the Price!

The total price fo the climbing frame adds up in the shopping cart to the left as you add pieces. If you want to remove a piece - remove it from the cart. Just keep an eye on it if you have a budget, as you don't want to create a dream climbing frame if you cannot buy it at the end!
